Annette J. Bruce Lifetime Achievement Award Nomination

The Annette J. Bruce Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to individuals in the storytelling community who have dedicated their lives to the art form of storytelling and who have demonstrated meritorious service to the Florida Storytelling Association, as well as to the community of storytellers at large. Nominated individuals should be those who have expanded public awareness of the art of storytelling, by virtue of their organizational contributions, preservation of traditional art forms, or the significant originality of their body of work.

Each year FSA will select one recipient.

Address the Qualifications of the Nominee (maximum 6 pages):

As applicable to the award, provide a narrative regarding the nominee that focuses on, but need not be limited to, the following:

 Description of the nominee’s contribution to the storytelling community.

 Description the nominee’s contribution to FSA.

 Description of the nominee’s contribution to the community in which they live.

 Description of how the nominee’s work has expanded public awareness of storytelling.

 Description of the nominee’s originality in their body of artistic work and/or preservation of storytelling as a traditional art form.

Chuck Larkin Distinguished Service Award Nomination

The Chuck Larkin Distinguished Service Award is presented to those individuals who have contributed their time and energy in an exemplary manner on the state level to forward the work of the Florida Storytelling Association.

Address the Qualifications of the Nominee (maximum 3 pages):

As applicable to the award, provide a narrative regarding the nominee that focuses on, but need not be limited to, the following:

 Description of the nominee’s service to the storytelling community.

 Description the nominee’s contribution to FSA.

 Description of the nominee’s contribution to the community in which they live.

Guild Service Award Nomination

The Guild Service Award is presented by the Florida Storytelling Association to those individuals whose outstanding support and activities within our member guilds and storytelling groups who have maintained and significantly promoted storytelling in their local communities.

Address the Qualifications of the Nominee (maximum 2 pages):

As applicable to the award, provide a narrative regarding the nominee that focuses on, but need not be limited to, the following:

 Description of the nominee’s service to their local storytelling or group.

 Description the nominee’s contribution to FSA or the larger storytelling community.

Ambassador of Storytelling Award Nomination

The Ambassador of Storytelling Award is presented by the Florida Storytelling Association to those individuals who promote and share enthusiasm for storytelling, encouraging both tellers and listeners.

Address the Qualifications of the Nominee (maximum 2 pages):

Provide a narrative which describes the ways in which the nominee promotes and shares enthusiasm for storytelling in their community and beyond.
