You are cordially invited to attend the FSA Story Development Virtual Guild meeting on Tuesday, May 13 at 7:00 pm.
What is the FSA Story Development Virtual Guild?
We are storytellers and delighted listeners who meet the second Tuesday of each month via zoom to support and encourage each other in crafting stories and developing ourselves as tellers: Janel Woodland and Andy Russell
This is a SAFE SPACE.
As your host, I am committed to keeping the group feedback in alignment with the Doug Lipman model.
What does that mean?
We have two tellers for each meeting. Each teller gets 30 minutes devoted to their story. The teller tells their story (whatever length and in whatever stage of development, from raw idea to polished story). The listeners then provide appreciation. What did we love about the story and the way the teller told it?
This is valuable information for the teller, to receive feedback on what worked in the story.
We then ask the teller if they would like to receive any feedback on places that took us out of the story or were confusing. The teller is in complete control and perfectly welcome to decline this feedback.
This format also helps us become better story listeners which is a crucial skill in becoming better story tellers.
This sounds great Janel, how do I participate?
Simply email me at: JanelWoodland@gmail.com and to be added to the list.
No dues or fees, this is a perk of your FSA membership.
You will receive an email with the zoom link the day before the meeting as a reminder and again on the day of the meeting.
I look forward to seeing you in the zoom room!

This is a great opportunity. I’ve participated in a similar group for several years, and it made a big difference to my growth as a teller.
No to mention- Janel is a wonderful host, coach and teller. We had so much fun at our first meeting. Come join us!
Thank you to Janel and Andy for starting the coaching circle!
