“When you tell Make Believe stories they are cool – and funny!” –4th grader
Katie Adams is a professional storyteller, puppeteer and teaching artist who has shared her creative, animated performance style with audiences at theaters, libraries, schools, festivals and museums. In 2000 she started Make Believe Theater, with original shows that range from creative, multi-media productions to simple, yet powerful tellings of folk tales, fairy tales and myths.
Katie has performed her storytelling shows recently at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, The Mahaffey Theater, and the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts. She is a regular at the Florida Folk Festival, the Cracker Storytelling Festival, and the Tampa/ Hillsborough County Storytelling Festival.
