Youthful Voices of Florida

The Florida Storytelling Association has been nurturing the next generation of storytellers since it launched the Youthful Voices initiative in 2001. Since that time, many young tellers have been awarded the Virginia Rivers Youthful Voices Scholarship to attend the annual festival and perform on the main stage on Saturday evening. You don’t want to miss the Youthful Voices concert. Many of our Youthful Voices represented Florida at the National Youth Storytelling Showcase, now held in conjunction with the Timpanagos Storytelling Festival in Orem, Utah. Over the years, many have brought home
top honors! This year, Youthful Voices Day has been expanded to include workshops, concerts, crafts and swaps for young storytellers. Many thanks to our Youthful Voices Directors, Linda Chancey and Connie Trama, for all their efforts to organize the event and support these up and coming storytellers!
